 A poor reference, not recommended., 1997-08-11
Nothing about this book inspires confidence. It's poorly designed, too long by half (thanks to rambling text, not useful content), and in spite of its length, incomplete.
For example, the Designing Your Web Site chapter devotes 20 pages to silly examples and, in my opinion, bad advice. Do you really want to design your web site to appeal to random browsers?
There's no real reference to FrontPage, something all of us need badly. Incredibly, they use Netscape as the browser in their screen shots.
The only thing "supercharged" about this book is its price

 Made FrontPage97 clear and usable, 1997-06-26
This text was my salvation as an introduction to the Web and FrontPage 97. This book is very strong in the use of examples and demonstrations. I especially liked the chapter on Projects. This book helped me learn that it's better to use hands on learning than just a "text book" approach

 Somewhat okay but no cigar..., 1997-06-23
I made the mistake of reading this book before I read any other book on FrontPage 97. After all, the title said it was about design and supercharging web sites. The problem is that the book misses its target by a few miles. A much better book is FrontPage 97 Unleashed. I learned sooooo much reading FrontPage 97 Unleashed
